Branding for a small, southern, city is always difficult because of lack of infrastructure, especially when the goal is to urge people to move there. I wanted to really capture the small town southern charm, but move it in a more forward–thinking direction. When sketching there was a lot of retro–inspired directions and classic scripts. We ended up going with this organic, blocky script that perfectly nests TN inside of it. I pushed this logo more modern with it’s bright, eye-catching color palette. This project ended up not being completed for several reasons that we can chat about over a cup of coffee, but I still think the project was heading in an interesting direction.
