The theme set for 2024’s Mistletoe Marketplace was “All is Bright” and the client’s was vision for the branding revolved around a New York Christmas vibe. When starting off with the logo sketching I knew I wanted the mark to be elegant and sophisticated. I experimented with several different looks, but ended up landing on a thin serif with graceful flourishes. For the color palette, the client wanted colors that were more of a slight nod to the usual Christmas palette. I went with muted cool tone colors with a pop of bright red and yellow. To round off the rest of the branding I added elements like borders and patterns that were inspired from 1920’s Art Deco style.
