Renova Roofing came to Mad Genius in need of a fun and eye-catching campaign that would help create awareness about their brand and differentiate themselves from other roofing companies in the area. In their own words, they wanted to be the “Chick-Fil-A” of roofing companies. We shot and delivered four different video spots and created a whole handful of digital and print deliverables for them. This is my first project where an idea I came up with went to final production!
Initial concepting and art direction style book.
Mother Nature is a B started as a simple idea, “What if we make Mother Nature a Karen, put her up on people’s roofs, and let chaos ensue?” The client fell for it instantly, and saw the equity in creating a mascot that they could reuse, expand upon, and roll out for events. While a Mother Nature character feels a little overplayed, we felt that we could differentiate her from the rest by focusing on her Karen personality first and foremost.
